Introduction of The Lab/ Research Field

The Wu Lab is interested in the gene regulatory and metabolic networks in control of organism development, aging, metabolism, and responses to nutritional, environmental and therapeutic inputs. By leveraging the integrated power of genetics, biochemistry and physiology in varied systems, including the nematode C. elegans, cultured cells and mouse model, we are aiming to understand mechanisms underlying human metabolic disorders and exploit effective interventions to prevent and treat related disorders. The Wu Lab is seeking two highly motivated and skilled post-doctoral candidates who have a solid background either in metabolism, cell biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, and/or cancer biology.

Job Description

Position: Postdoctoral Fellow (2)

Requirements:

1. Background in biochemistry, metabolism, cell biology, bioinformatics or cancer biology;
2. Self-motivated and dedicated to pursuing a future academic career;
3. Capable of working independently with appropriate supervision on assigned projects as well as in a team;
4. Experience with metabolism study in mouse model is preferred, but not necessary.

Other requirements: Have obtained or about to obtain a Ph.D. degree, aged under 35.

Compensation and Benefits

The research team offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. Applications for relevant projects and programs will be encouraged and supported.

For post-doc(s) who selected for China Postdoctoral Science Foundation or Advanced Programs of Zhejiang Province will be entitled to receive the same amount funds from the Hangzhou government.

For post-doc(s) who full-time work in Hangzhou after completing their post-doc research will be eligible for applying allowance of 400,000RMB from the Hangzhou government.
