Job Summary

The Shaw Lab at The Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI), is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on projects that bridge from basic cell biology to small and large animal model systems. The focus of the lab is GJA1-20k with application to Connexin43 trafficking, mitochondrial biology, ischemia-reperfusion injury, and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy. Background in basic cell biology as well as animal studies is preferred. The applicant must have a strong interest in pursuing an academic career and in therapeutic development. The environment at the CVRTI is highly interactive, collaborative, friendly, and offers a great location in Salt Lake City for superb outdoor recreational activities. Responsibilities
