Post-Doc Research Associate

Position Summary

Applications are invited for one postdoctoral position in Applied Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2022. The ideal candidate has research background and interests in one or more of the following areas: optimal transport (mathematical theory, computational analysis, machine learning applications), approximation theory, or mathematical models in biology and/or medicine. Teaching duties for the position can be tailored to the applicant’s background, interests, and career goals. The initial appointment is for 1 year, with the possibility of extension for another year upon satisfactory performance and funding.

A Ph.D. in Mathematics, or a related field, is required by the start of the appointment.
