Offer Description
Post-doc has the qualifications necessary to conduct the biological studies within the BIO-MAST-3D project. This post-doc will oversee biocompatibility and anti-inflammatory assessments of algae-modified PEGDA drainage tubes via in vitro and in vivo models. The post-doc will be responsible for various tests/analysis, e.g. histopathology and biomarker analysis (qPCR/ELISA for VEGF/IL-6), flow cytometry studies, confocal microscopy imaging, molecular assays (Western blot, qPCR), and statistical analysis (ANOVA, power calculations in Python/R), ensuring methodological consistency of the research.

Skills/Qualifications
The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, Article 113 as amended) and who meet the following requirements:
- PhD in biology, biomedical engineering, nanobiotechnology, or related fields and fulfilled formal NCN requirements https://ncn.gov.pl/sites/default/files/pliki/uchwaly-rady/2025/uchwala72_2025-zal1-2.pdf
- knowledge in field histopathology and biomarker analysis (qPCR/ELISA for VEGF/IL-6), flow cytometry studies, confocal microscopy imaging, molecular assays (Western blot, qPCR), and statistical analysis (ANOVA, power calculations in Python/R)
- experience in conducting in vitro studies and participation in the implementation of in vivo experiments
- self-reliance, organizational skills
- readiness to work in a team
- readiness for scientific mobility
- readiness to share knowledge and experience.

Eligibility criteria
- Scientific achievements documented in publications and their compliance with the scope of research topics specified in the competition requirements (0-20 points);
- Participation in research projects (0-5 points);
- Participation in internships and training in line with the subject of the project (0-10 points);

Selection process
- Competition committee begins working no later than 14 days after the deadline for submission of documents.
- Formal evaluation of submitted proposals.
- Call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary.
- Selection of candidates for the interview stage.
- Interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements.
- The committee has the right to request external reviews of candidates' work or to ask candidates to conduct teaching assignments with an opportunity for student evaluation.
- The chair of the competition committee announces the results and informs the candidates. This information will include justification with a reference to candidates' strengths and weaknesses. Submitted documents will be sent back to candidates.
