Duties/Responsibilities
- Extracellular vesicles isolation, Mammalian cell culture, and bacterial culture. (50%)
- Xenograft tumor and PDX tumor models in mice colony and other animal model. (40%)
- Lab management (ordering supplies, lab service, and organization); training graduate/undergraduate students. (10%)
Position Summary
Principal Investigator Dr. Cai’s lab is mainly focused on the studies on 1) fatty acid mediated metabolism; 2) extracellular vesicles mediated delivery of gene editing machinery. This position will have the opportunity to develop a CRISPR delivery technology for treatment of various diseases by gene therapy.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Ph.D. in Exosome isolation, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience with basic molecular biology skills and mouse models.
- Highly motivated to publish high-impact research
- Excellent scientific writing ability and oral communication skills.
