Post-Doctoral Associate in Quantum Algorithms
The Center for Quantum and Topological Systems (CQTS) at New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi, UAE invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position in the area of Quantum Algorithms. The candidate is expected to conduct research in computer science focusing on the combinatorial aspects of quantum experiments and quantum algorithms for computational geometry problems. Prior expertise in these areas is highly encouraged.
The selected candidate will work on cutting-edge technologies in an excellent research environment, with potential to work with a Quantum Computer through collaboration partners. The Center offers opportunities to investigate interdisciplinary questions in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science and Engineering. Successful applicants are expected to perform cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and enhance collaborations across areas.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, with specialization in Quantum computing and Graph theory. Responsibilities include conducting research on graph theoretic approaches to design quantum photonic experiments and exploring quantum algorithms for computational geometry problems.
The appointment is for two years, with possible extensions. It includes a competitive tax-free salary, housing allowance, medical insurance, annual home leave allowance, and other benefits. The preferred start date is Fall 2025, but earlier dates are possible.
