The Vanderpool Lab is looking for a post-doctoral associate.

Job Description

75% Research: The postdoctoral scholar will design and carry out experiments to understand bacterial physiology and genetics.

15% Publication and presentation of data: The postdoctoral scholar is expected to communicate their research findings through publication in peer-reviewed research journals and presentation at local and national meetings.

10% Training and mentoring students: The postdoctoral scholar will work with undergraduates and graduate students in the lab and is expected to foster the development of junior lab members.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a PhD in microbiology, biochemistry, bioinformatics or related field; a strong publication record, and experience in any of the following areas: bacterial genetics, genomics, and metabolism.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $62,232 annually
