Post Doctoral Fellow - Department of Neuroscience/Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute
About the Opportunity
As part of a recently awarded NSF EPSCoR RII Track-1 project entitled, "West Virginia Network for Functional Neuroscience and Transcriptomics" (WV-NFNT), the Departments of Biology and Neuroscience at West Virginia University are seeking productive, skilled, and highly motivated postdoctoral fellows for several exciting research projects, with overall theme of neural circuit plasticity during development and in response to rearing conditions, sensory discrimination training, or stress. Several positions are also available for motivated graduate students interested in Neuroscience.
What You'll Do
- Successful candidates will study mouse or model using state-of-the-art technology including in-vivo electrophysiology, super-resolution microscopy, and spatial transcriptomics.
Qualifications
- PhD in Neuroscience or related disciplines.
- A minimum of 0-6 months experience in the following: Cutting-edge structural, functional, or molecular research methods in neuroscience
All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Candidate will work in collaboration with other researchers within and outside their laboratory.
- Candidates should have excellent scientific writing and oral communication skills.
