"Post-doctoral Fellow"

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 533909), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related discipline. They should have strong background and research experience in at least one of the following areas: (1) Chemical biology; (2) Anticancer drug research; (3) Cancer biology; (4) Mass spectrometry; (5) Proteomics. They should be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team.

The appointee will work on interdisciplinary projects related to the development of novel therapeutic agents targeting cancer-related proteins for therapy. In particular, the appointee will utilize chemoproteomics to discover new druggable hotspots in liver cancer, which can facilitate the development of novel anticancer therapeutics. The appointee will have a good opportunity to learn and perform state-of-the-art research for drug target identification and drug development.
