"Post-doctoral Fellow"

Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Clinical Oncology,
School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533845) (to commence as soon
as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject
to satisfactory performance and funding availability).

The Department provides an open, supportive, dynamic and motivating
academic environment with the possibility to work on the
cutting-edge research project related to the spatial transcriptome
study to identify the biomarkers for cancer metastasis. The
activities of the appointee will be integrated in a
multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology,
Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline, with a good research
publication record. Preference will be given to those with previous
experience in one or more of the following areas: functional
studies for tumor suppressors and oncogenes using mouse models,
functional studies for the immune cells in tumor microenvironment
and cancer biomarker analysis and drug testing in vitro and in
vivo. Applicants should be self-motivated, able to work
independently as well as in a team, and able to help supervise
Ph.D. students. They should also have excellent communication
skills in written and spoken English, good trouble-shooting skills,
and effective collaboration skills.

The appointee will join a multidisciplinary team to work on the
functional studies for the candidate genes/immune cell types
identified from the spatial transcriptome study and perform any
duties assigned by the supervisor. The appointee will get training
in single-cell RNA sequencing analysis, spatial transcriptome data
analysis and genomic analysis for multi-omics studies.
