Description:

- Receives/Reviews progress and evaluates results of experiments or projects under control or supervisory responsibility.

Additional Posting Information:
Education/Experience: A Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. degree in a related field like molecular or cell biology is required. Experience with standard immunological assays like ELISA/ELISpot/Flow-cytometry is an advantage. Experience with viral transduction of immune cells is an advantage.
Postdoctoral position to investigate T-cell based therapies in collaboration with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, funded by the CPRIT/DoD/NIH. The candidate needs to have prior documented experience in animal models, molecular biology and in working with immune cells. The successful candidate will work on a multi-disciplinary team involving engineers and clinicians. The candidate will be expected to devise or modify immunological methods to achieve results and publish papers in research journals. Presentation at national meetings and career-development will be encouraged. Strong communication skills (written/verbal) in English is required.

Qualifications:
- Doctoral-level degree in neuroscience, biomechanics, kinesiology, psychology, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Highly-motivated punctual and proactive individual with a demonstrated ability to manage and complete complex projects.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to conduct independent research and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Proficiency in signal processing, statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Minitab), and computer programming in languages such as Matlab and/or LabView.
- Preferred experience in: motion capture data collection and analysis and a strong track record of scientific productivity, including undergraduate research experience and/or publications in peer reviewed journals.
