Post-Doctoral Fellow in Chemistry and Chemical Biology (Nocera Lab)

Position Description
The Nocera lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the research program to explore radical-based mechanistic enzymology, studying PCET within ribonucleotide reductase (RNR). This position is ideally suited for a candidate interested in an interdisciplinary approach using tools from biochemistry (UAA incorporation and protein labeling), steady-state and transient biophysical spectroscopies (i.e. transient laser spectroscopy), organic synthesis, and electrochemistry.
Responsibilities
- Performs research and/or development in collaboration with others
- Optimize and investigate new methods and technologies
- Prepare manuscripts, present findings at scientific meetings, and contribute to grant applications.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring activities for undergraduate and graduate students.
Basic Qualifications
- A Ph. D. in biochemistry, immunology, chemical or molecular biology or related field and 0+ years of experience
- Demonstrated record of research achievement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment.
