The University of Houston’s Smart Systems Security (SSS) Lab, within the Department of IST at the Cullen College of Engineering, is seeking motivated and talented post-doctoral researchers to join our team. Our lab focuses on addressing critical security challenges for cyber-physical systems (CPS), Internet of Things (IoT) devices, autonomous systems, and other emerging smart technologies. We protect smart systems by developing novel techniques for usable authentication, privacy preservation, and resilience in the face of sophisticated cyberattacks. - The selected candidate will lead an exciting project focused on security and privacy in Telepresence Systems, including VR, MR, and XR technologies.
- Develop and implement methods for real-time user authentication in telepresence systems using various teleinteraction device sensors.
- Ideal candidate should possess, understand, and apply a comprehensive knowledge in area of specialization.
- Develops understanding and skills to allow for completion of assignments that cross fields of specialization.
- Develops leadership and management skills.
This role is based out of
MQ: Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. No experience is required.
