The Boeing Center for Supply Chain Innovation (BCSCI) at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position authorized under the BCSCI budget. Applicants with recently completed PhDs with specialization in a broad portfolio of topics in supply chain, operations, technology, and risk management will be considered for the position.

Job Responsibilities
The Boeing Center for Supply Chain Innovation (BCSCI) Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to perform independent research at the cutting edge of their field along agreed sponsored projects by the BCSCI, and in collaboration with faculty mentors in the Supply Chain Operations and Technology (SCOT) faculty area within the school. Additionally, the BCSCI Postdoctoral Fellow will assist the Center with one mini-consulting project pursued with a select member company of BCSCI for each semester.
Candidates will be evaluated on their academic accomplishments; the strength of their research proposal, and alignment of research interests with sponsored projects by BCSCI.
We are expecting a two-year commitment to this position by those offered the opportunity to work with us, in order for such collaboration to be productive and lead to the completion of published high-quality work.
The BCSCI will provide research funding (separate from salary) to support research pursuits like conference travel, registration, and other related expenses.

Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate is required by the start of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful candidates should have a track record or the potential for research accomplishments. Demonstrated interest in teaching of graduate level courses might be considered and the opportunity exists, but is not a strict requirement. The announced position is mostly concerned with research capabilities of applicants.
Preferred Fields of Study
Successful business school candidates should have a doctorate in operations research, management science, operations and supply chain management or related fields. Engineering school candidates should have a doctorate in industrial and systems engineering, operations research or related fields.
