Post-doctoral fellow, neuromodulation of human brain circuits with chemogenetics
The Translational Neuropsychiatry through Neuromodulation lab in the Department of Neurology at UCSF (https://tn2lab.ucsf.edu) is seeking to fill an open postdoctoral scholar position. The research project, conducted in collaboration with the Nowakowski lab (https://nowakowski-lab.squarespace.com), aims to explore the use of cell-type-specific neuromodulation with chemogenetics in human brain tissue using viral vectors identified with directed evolution. In addition to chemogenetics, the research approach involves electrophysiology with multi-electrode arrays, molecular biology, and imaging. A competitive applicant will have extensive experience with electrophysiology, chemogenetics, and quantitative skills (MATLAB and/or Python).
To be considered for the position, please email your CV (including a list of publications) and research statement to Khaled.Moussawi@ucsf.edu.
