Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (to commence from December 1, 2025 or as soon as possible, for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a doctoral or master’s degree in Education Measurement, the Learning Sciences, Educational Psychology, AI in education, or a related discipline. Familiarity with theories of added value and student learning experience is crucial. Preference will be given to those with experience in qualitative analysis and advanced statistics such as Structural Equation Modelling, Multilevel Modelling (MLM), and latent profile analysis. Experience in managing projects, implementing large-scale surveys, and analysing large datasets are relevant strengths. The appointee should also have a high level of communication skills, collaboration skills, writing proficiency for academic purposes and for a general audience in English. Good organizational skills, the ability to work independently and interdependently within a team and cross teams on a tight schedule are essential to succeed in this role. Applicants in the final stages of their PhD studies may be considered for appointment as a Senior Research Assistant.
The appointee will work closely with the Principal Investigator and the project team, to support large-scale research projects on assessment in the AI era, students’ university experiences and development. He/She will take a key role in all stages of the research, including but not limited to supporting (a) the implementation of surveys; (b) liaison within the team and across teams; (c) data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; (d) preparation for publications in peer reviewed journals and reports; (e) preparation of research proposals, and (f) administrative and dissemination work.
