- Helps design and conduct research within a specified field while receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator to enhance professional skills and research independence needed for pursuit of a career.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field.
- Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.
- Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
Additional information about the Job:
A postdoctoral researcher position is available at Emory Climate Hub at Emory University to work on a project to estimate greenhouse gas and ammonia fluxes from two agricultural farms in Georgia.
We are interested in understanding the four fluxes (CO2, CH4, N2O, and NH3) from various agricultural practices.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the four eddy-covariance towers and processing the data, as well as conducting field measurements with automated chambers.
We are looking for a candidate with a Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences, meteorology, soil sciences, environmental engineering, or a related field.
Strong written and oral communication skills are required and we seek an interdisciplinary scholar who is interested in working with researchers with diverse backgrounds.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
