2. Qualifications

Applicants should be graduated from a leading Chinese University or any other recognized International Academic Institution in the last 3 years and be younger than 35 years old. The applicants must be able to prove a high academic level, a strong scientific research and innovation ability, and have published a minimum of 2 SCI or CPCI or SSCI academic papers as the first author or corresponding author.

3. Remuneration

Foreign postdoc fellows will be offered an annual salary, paid by the University. Pre-tax annual incomes for specific postdocs are as follows:

In addition, in the first two years, the University will offer payments of RMB 50,000 for Engineering postdocs or a basic grant of RMB 30,000 for postdocs in Humanities or Social Sciences.

We recommend and encourage a successful applicants to rent accommodation off campus and we provide a monthly rental allowance of RMB 800 (before tax).

4. Application

Applicants are advised to contact the designated professors who are PhD supervisors for postdoctoral offers in their respective disciplines. If you fail to do so, please submit your CV and any other documents, that will support your application, to bhr@ujs.edu.cn with the title of Post-doc Application. We will forward your application to the PhD supervisors in the discipline that you are applying for. When a prospective suitable collaborator has been found, we will list you as a prospective candidate and then decide whether to make you an offer in said discipline you have applied for. This will be based on the recommendation of the Postdoctoral Administrative Committee. The Committee’s decision will be motivated by and based on your past academic achievements.

5. Required Documents for Postdoctoral Applicants

If you have passed the assessment by your supervisor and the Department of the Post-doctoral Research Center, please visit the “China Postdoctoral Website” (http://www.chinapostdoctor.org.cn/), register and login to the China Postdoctoral Online System (https://www.chinapostdoctor.org.cn/auth/login.html), and complete all the relevant fields, and upload all the required documents.

When the information and uploaded documents are correct, please export and download the postdoctoral application form, and submit the printed application documents to the Post-doctoral Office and wait for the result.

The required document list is as follows (at least one original copy of each):

1. Postdoctoral Qualification Review Sheet;
2. The Assessment Form of the Academic Department of the School in which your Post-doctoral Research discipline falls (with the signature of the authorized director, managing the office and the official seal of the School attached);
3. Postdoctoral Application Form: (Fill in the form found on the China Postdoctoral Online System (https://www.chinapostdoctor.org.cn/auth/login.html), download the completed form, print and sign it in all the designated places, in black ink);
4. Copy of your latest valid passport;
5. Copy of your PhD degree;
6. Copy of Doctoral Degree Certificate, authenticated by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (for PhD qualifications awarded at International Academic Institutions);
7. Letters of recommendations from two specialists in the applicants’ research field (Letters of recommendation from the PhD supervisor and the Postdoctoral collaborator of the applicant);
8. The Academic, ideology and morality assessment form from postdoctoral supervisor of JSU.
9. Curriculum vitae;
10. Certificates of your scientific achievements.
