Activities and context
The project will focus on the synthesis, characterization, and application of biomass-derived catalysts for the electrochemical reduction of CO2, as well as on the identification and quantification of the products formed. The project will be carried out at the Laboratory of Nanomaterials for Sustainable Energy (LANES) at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) in São Paulo state, Brazil. The fellowship will have a duration of 8 months.
Mandatory requirements
Candidates must hold a PhD in Chemistry, have publications in catalysis, and possess knowledge of advanced spectroscopic characterization techniques. Candidates must have obtained their PhD within the last 12 months. They must also have proven international experience of at least 12 months outside their country of origin during their doctoral studies. Experience gained during undergraduate or master's studies will not be considered for this requirement.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
