Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Offer Description

Activities and context: The fellow will investigate the immunological and molecular mechanisms associated with susceptibility to Plasmodium vivax malaria, including parasite accumulation in the bone marrow and liver.

The fellow will also integrate functional in vitro assays with molecular and multi-omics approaches to identify parasite adaptations and potential biomarkers of susceptibility.

Mandatory requirements: Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Parasitology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field; proven experience in immunological techniques; high-impact, peer-reviewed publications and strong scientific writing skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; full-time, exclusive dedication in accordance with FAPESP regulations.

Requirements Qualifications: Practical knowledge of multi-omics experimental design and computational data analysis; proficiency in bioinformatics and statistical computing tools, such as R and Python.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
