Activities and context: The Post-Doctoral Research will focus on heat vulnerability indicators in the municipality of Jundiaí, São Paulo state, Brazil. The objective is to identify and analyze vulnerability indicators, generating information to support public policies, action plans, and heat adaptation strategies. The work will involve data analysis, geoprocessing, field activities, and interaction with municipal managers and technical staff. The candidate must be available to reside in Campinas (also in São Paulo) and to travel to Jundiaí for field activities. The fellowship will have a duration of 17 months.
Mandatory requirements: PhD obtained within the last 7 years in fields related to Architecture and Urban Planning, Geography, or Environmental and Sanitary Engineering. Proven research experience in geoprocessing, climate analysis, and data production and analysis. The candidate must demonstrate an academic and scientific track record compatible with the proposed activities and meet FAPESP eligibility criteria for the Post-Doctoral Fellowship (see https://fapesp.br/en/postdoc). Strong communication skills, autonomy, and leadership are expected, as well as a willingness to integrate into the research group, contributing to the interpretation of results, knowledge production, and consolidation of scientific findings.
Desirable requirements: Proactive, collaborative, and committed to applied research. Experience in fieldwork, interaction with multidisciplinary teams, and research at the interface between science and society. Experience in scientific writing, article production, and dissemination of research results is desirable. Experience in research applied to urban planning and/or public policies is desirable.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality.
