Dr. Duygu Taş Küten at Sabanci University is looking for outstanding post-doctoral researchers who are willing to apply for Marie Sklodowska – Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) 2026 call.
HOST INSTITUTION
On a national level, SU has been one of the most successful universities in Turkiye in terms of the number of EU Framework Programmes funded projects per faculty member. The Sabancı University Research and Technology Transfer Office (SU ATT) is well-structured to manage the 300 active projects simultaneously, with approximately 57% of the total budget allocated to EU projects. Research at SU is an interdisciplinary effort extending across all branches of science, technology, and arts. Academic activities are performed within the framework of three faculties composed of non-departmental and interdisciplinary programs: the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the School of Management, which feature a total of 12 undergraduate, 52 graduate and 17 doctoral programs. SU has also several research centres, Data Analytics Research and Application Center (VERIM), Center of Excellence in Nano Diagnostics (EFSUN).
Smart Mobility and Logistics Lab (SML)
The Smart Mobility and Logistics Lab focuses on the design, analysis, and optimization of transportation and logistics systems, including urban mobility, last-mile delivery operations, humanitarian logistics, and sustainable transport networks. Researchers at various academic levels develop a strong foundation in operations research, data-driven modeling, and advanced optimization techniques to address complex real-world challenges in mobility and logistics. The lab is characterized by its interdisciplinary and collaborative structure, integrating engineering, data science, and management approaches. As a result of this integrated approach, researchers and affiliated students are well-equipped to contribute to both fundamental and applied research, developing innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and resilience in transportation and logistics systems across academic, public, and industrial sectors.
OFFER DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
Backgrounds in operations research, industrial engineering, data science or applied mathematics are welcome; optimization methods, mathematical modeling, and programming is a huge plus. Candidates should have a strong motivation and team spirit with the enthusiasm to bring scientific questions to successful conclusions. Researchers of any nationality in possession of a doctoral degree and those who have not resided in Turkey for more than 12 months in the three years before the call deadline (9 Sept 2026) are eligible to apply.
