The Post Doctoral Scholar will join the AI(X) Hub at the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK) of The Ohio State University (https://aihub.osu.edu). The AI(X) Hub at The Ohio State University is a university-wide initiative to accelerate research, innovation, and education in artificial intelligence. It spans 15 colleges and aims to unlock exponential possibilities by fusing AI with expertise across six strategic pillars: foundations, health, engineering and sciences, agriculture, cybersecurity, and trustworthy AI.

Job Overview

Conducts research and development efforts as a Post Doctoral Scholar at the AI(X) Hub. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to actively work with faculty members, research scientists, students, and industry and government partners. Responsibilities will include helping to chart new exciting directions for the Hub, working with domain experts, helping with proposal writing, and other reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Integrated Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent terminal degree with deep knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to help create scalable Artificial Intelligence workflows.
• Experience in working with inter-disciplinary research groups.

The pay range for this position is $62,000 - $65,000. The offer for this position may fall within this range based on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and education; salary equity assessments; and the unit's budget.

AI(X) Hub Overview

The new AI(X) Hub at the Ohio State University is designed to bring researchers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to develop and use artificial intelligence in novel ways to drive innovation and accelerate discovery and successfully compete for large multidisciplinary projects. The goals of the Hub are to be (i) a cutting-edge resource for collaborative research with expertise across virtually every AI/ML domain; build a scalable shared infrastructure in the form of a university-wide computing cluster; develop robust data/model commons integrated with cutting-edge computing clusters that will help democratize access to high-performance computing and curated datasets; accelerate collaboration between researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to streamline the path from discovery to deployment, bringing ideas from the lab into the real world.
