Post Doctoral Scholar
A Post Doctoral Scholar position is available in an NIH-funded laboratory at the College of Pharmacy to pursue advanced training in kidney cancer biology and pharmacology, with an emphasis on stress-responsive signaling, metabolic remodeling, and cell fate regulation in renal cell carcinoma. The fellow will plan, design, and execute experiments of significant scope integrating molecular and cellular biology approaches, including proteinprotein interaction assays, kinase activity analyses, transcriptional profiling, and advanced imaging (confocal and multiphoton microscopy). Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data for NIH-sponsored projects, developing and troubleshooting experimental protocols, and contributing to translational studies at the interface of cancer biology and organ injury. The laboratory provides a dynamic, collaborative research environment with opportunities for manuscript preparation, grant writing, research seminars, and professional development toward independent research careers.
Required Qualifications: A doctoral degree in a biological or health sciences discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
Desired Qualifications: Strong preference will be given to candidates with prior training in biochemistry, cancer biology, and pharmacology. A demonstrated record of scientific productivity, including peer-reviewed publications, is desirable.
