Post-production Manager
The Post-production Manager position supports all Film & Media Studies courses that include video, sound, animation, and/or time-based components. The manager will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to carry out curricular goals for Film & Media Studies, including planning, equipment maintenance, and curricular support for digital media. In addition, the Post-production Manager will maintain the analogue film suites, animation labs, and editing suites. They will work with the Technical Director to develop and deliver workshops and learning modules that advance course needs and support student projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading workshops and designing learning modules for software. (20%)
- Collaborating with faculty and staff on digital and innovative components of courses and proposals for new software. (10%)
- Assisting students in problem-solving project ideas from concept to realization during courses, x-hours, and other high-demand times, which may include 1-2 evenings per week. (20%)
- Working on special projects as needed for Film & Media Studies, including video and sound support for courses and extracurricular, department-related activities. (15%)
- Teaching safe handling of equipment, spaces and materials, and maintaining areas for cleanliness as well as safety. (25%)
- Providing backup support to Technical Director, Production Space and Cage Manager, and Digital Technician Specialist. (10%)
