Mandatory requirements: PhD obtained within the past 7 years in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Evolutionary Biology or related fields, in accordance with FAPESP rules; experience in molecular biology, including biological sample processing and DNA/RNA extraction; experience in the generation and/or analysis of sequencing data; proficiency in Linux and R and/or Python; experience in genomic or transcriptomic analyses; good command of English; and a scientific record consistent with career stage.
Desirable requirements: Experience in genome assembly and annotation, long-read and/or Hi-C data, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, multi-omics integration, comparative/evolutionary genomics, and development of reproducible workflows will be valued. Familiarity with bee biology or other social insects and with the evolution of sociality/eusociality, as well as experience in student training or supervision, will be considered an advantage.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
