Are you eager to contribute to Europe’s green and digital transformation by shaping the next generation of education in circular economy and digitalization?
DTU Construct invites applications for a Postdoc to join the EU-funded 3D-CIRCULAR project, which aims to strengthen Europe’s capacity for green and digital transformation through innovative higher education programmes.
As part of the 3D-CIRCULAR initiative, you will help deliver and further develop hybrid master’s and doctoral programmes that integrate CE principles, digital competencies, and sustainability-driven innovation across European universities. Your work will be central to ensuring the successful implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the educational and certification programmes envisioned by the project.
The period of employment is 2.5 years.
Responsibilities and qualifications
The successful candidate will join the Section of Design for Sustainability at DTU Construct, collaborating closely with academic and industry partners across Europe. You will play a key role in the implementation of the 3D-CIRCULAR master and doctoral programmes, contributing to the design, management, and digital delivery of education activities. Primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of the 3D-CIRCULAR master and doctorate programmes, including coordination of hybrid (online/in-person) teaching and supervision activities.
- Updating and refining learning components for the 3D-CIRCULAR educational and certification programmes in collaboration with partner institutions.
- Managing and documenting progress for the second and third programme cohorts.
- Facilitating collaboration between academic staff, students, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective programme delivery.
- Supporting dissemination, evaluation, and quality assurance activities.
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative researcher with a strong background in circular economy and/or digitalisation, ideally with experience in education innovation or programme development. Your primary qualifications are:
- As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in Circular Economy, Digitalisation, Industrial Ecology, Design for Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience with digital education tools, learning platforms, or hybrid teaching methodologies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development or co-instruction of higher education programmes.
- Strong interest in linking circular economy principles with digital transformation.
- Documented ability to author research articles, preferably at the intersection of sustainability/circular economy and engineering education.
- Experience in conducting mixed-methods research studies.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with project management or EU-funded projects is an advantage.
