Postdoc in Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics for Liver Cancer Research
Job Summary: The Peng lab at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology in Utrecht is seeking a highly motivated postdoc to focus on liver cancer and related disorders. The role involves understanding disease mechanisms and developing therapeutic strategies using single-cell, spatial, and organoid technologies in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities: Decipher disease origins, progression, regeneration, and cellular plasticity. Employ techniques such as single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, whole-genome sequencing, high-throughput screening, CRISPR-based functional screening, and patient-derived organoid models. Work closely with in-house platforms and collaborate internationally.
Qualifications and Requirements: PhD in a related discipline. Expertise in single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, whole genome sequencing, proteomics, organoid modelling, CRISPR screening, liver biology, developmental biology, or cancer biology. Strong publication record, creativity, analytical skills, fluency in English, and excellent communication and team-working abilities.
What the Employer Offers: Full-time position (36 hours per week) for one year with possibility of extension. Gross monthly salary between €4081 and €5978, depending on experience, plus 8.33% holiday allowance and 8.33% end-of-year bonus.
