The Institute of Information Security and Dependability (KASTEL) offers as soon as possible, limited for one year (extension possible), a
Your main tasks and responsibilities within this project are:
- Conduct academic research which will lead to high quality scientific publications in the field of operations research and business analytics
- Contribute to projects with academic and industrial partners, e.g. KASTEL, Imperial College London, hospitals in Germany etc.
- Assist in teaching activities of the department
Personal qualification
- We welcome candidates with a PhD with a quantitative focus, e.g., operations research, business or data analytics, finance, mathematics, etc.
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in quantifying risks and uncertainties desirable
- Ability to collaborate with others and work independently, take initiative and show enthusiasm
- Good oral and written communication skills in English; German not required
- We are looking for candidates with a strong drive and keen interest in conducting meaningful and innovative research
