Offer Description
A postdoc position (1 year, possibility to extend) is available in the group of Dr D. Sluysmans (NANOCHEM, University of Liège, Belgium), in the framework of the project NanoMuscles funded by the FNRS.
The NanoChemistry & Molecular System group employs single-molecule techniques, AFM and optical tweezers, to study the operation of small synthetic molecules and biomolecules. Our expertise covers the development of single-molecule force spectroscopy (SMFS) for the probing, triggering and controlling of individual molecules in chemistry and in biology.
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoc candidate to join our team at the University of Liège. You will join several other postdoctoral researchers, PhD students and staff (chemists, biologists, physicists, engineers, etc.) and have access to many experimental facilities and a network of international collaborations.

Education Level: PhD or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- You hold a PhD in science or engineering.
- Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
- Resourceful, ambitious and internationally oriented.
- Capability to work in an international team as well as independently, problem-solving attitude.
Specific Requirements: Experience with AFM or Optical Tweezers-based force spectroscopy is appreciated
Languages: ENGLISH, Level: Excellent
