Is the Job related to staff position within a Research Infrastructure?: No
Offer Description
We offer a 19-months FAPESP-funded postdoctoral fellowship to elucidate molecular mechanisms involved in the gut microbiota-host crosstalk and intestinal physiology, controlling inflammatory and cancer processes. The research is an international collaboration involving primarily the labs of Prof Marco Vinolo (UNICAMP), Patrick Varga-Weisz (University of Essex), Naiara Beraza (Quadram Institute, UK) and Radu Zabet (QMUL, UK).
The research involves cutting-edge technology, such as single cell transcriptome and chromatin analysis (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&TAG), mouse models and gut organoid culture. Your primary research location will be the university of Campinas (UNICAMP), one of the top universities in Latin America with a strong research infrastructure. Our laboratory is English-and Portuguese-speaking and a supportive and inclusive environment in a beautiful university setting. Prior knowledge in any one of relevant fields (host-microbiota interaction, intestinal physiology, mouse cancer models, chromatin) would be beneficial.
You PhD must have been concluded maximally 7 years ago to be eligible for this position.
Please send a letter of interest with CV and names of two referees to mvinolo@unicamp.br and Patrick.varga-weisz@essex.ac.uk
