The Institute of Advanced Studies at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is recruiting for a postdoc position.
We are seeking a candidate from the field of history to work on the project entitled "Understanding System Collapse: crisis and recovery in the social-ecological systems of premodern Brandenburg and Greater Poland" (NCN OPUS 26, UMO-2023/51/I/HS3/00151).
The research tasks include investigations into settlement, demography and epidemics, as well as agricultural production and social inequalities in medieval and early modern Greater Poland.

Skills/Qualifications
The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions specified in Article 113 of the Law of July 20, 2018. - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following eligibility criteria:
- specialization in environmental and economic history of Greater Poland (optional) and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (required),
- teamwork skills,
- ability to work with statistical software and GIS (optional)
