The duration of postdoctoral studies is 24 months, subject to the fulfillment of minimum result indicators in an interim evaluation conducted after the first 12 months of the contract.
The postdoctoral research internship can be conducted entirely in Romanian or in English, and is open to both Romanian and international applicants who demonstrate research potential.
The postdoctoral scholarship program is primarily aimed at PhD graduates from other universities in Romania or abroad. Exceptionally, UVT doctoral graduates may also apply, provided that they did not have, at the time of application submission and for at least six months prior, a full-time, part-time, or hourly-paid employment contract with UVT.

- Not more than 5 years since the last PhD title.
- A research proposal that receives prior approval from a mentor from our university staff.
- A minimum portfolio consisting of:
- 1 publication in a AIS Q1 WoS journal or 2 publications in AIS Q1 or Q2 WoS journals.
- As an exception for humanistic sciences and vocational fields, the portfolio could include 1 publication in a WoS journal or 2 publications in Scopus journals
- Full-time presence on site (at WUT in Timisoara)
