Admission Requirements

• PhD degree in physics, chemistry, or materials science with a focus on the optics of nanostructured systems, polymer self-assembly, structural analysis, colloid research, or a related field

Desired Qualification

• very good command of English, both written and spoken;
• experience in delivering scientific presentations and publishing research
• ability to teach at university level in German and English
• interest in interdisciplinary research
• experience with light and electron microscopy as well as other structural characterization techniques
• enthusiasm for scientific work, independence, creativity, and inventiveness
• intellectual curiosity, reliability, resilience, and flexibility
• willingness to travel to national and international conferences
