Skills/Qualifications
National, foreign and stateless candidates who hold a doctoral degree in Biology or related fields, and possess a scientific and professional curriculum that reveals a profile suited to the activity to be developed, may apply to the call. In case the doctoral degree was awarded by a foreign higher education institution, it must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 66/2018, of August 16, and any formalities established therein must be fulfilled by the date of signature of the employment contract.
Specific Requirements
In addition to the general requirements defined in the previous point, the specific requirements are:
- Experience in fieldwork on rocky shores under adverse conditions;
- Experience in the installation of temperature sensors, following best practices;
- Experience in coordinating fieldwork with other research teams;
- Experience in analyzing coastal temperature patterns at multiple spatiotemporal scales;
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) and Spanish (spoken);
- Experience in participating in international research projects;
- Experience in publishing scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals;
- Valid driving license in Europe at the start of the project and availability to drive in other countries;
- Strong work ethic and good teamwork skills.
