Postdoctoral Associate in AI Bioinformatics and Single Cell Multi-omics
Dr. Feifei Xiao's laboratory at the University of Florida's Department of Biostatistics is accepting applications for a fully funded postdoctoral associate position. This position, available immediately, focuses on developing machine learning and deep learning methods for analyzing large-scale single-cell DNA-seq, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq and spatial transcriptome data.
We are also interested in developing modern statistical approach for integration of multi-omics datasets and causal inference to understanding the underlying architecture and causal factors of human diseases such as cancer, aging related outcomes and sepsis. Key responsibilities for the postdoctoral associate position include methodology and software development, data analysis, manuscript writing, research presentation at conferences, and assistance with grant applications. Initial funding is for two years with a potential second, two-year appointment based on need and productivity.
Expected Salary: $63,480 annually; commensurate with experience level and in accordance with current NIH postdoctoral salary guidelines.
Required Qualifications: PhD in Biostatistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
Preferred: Proficient in R/Python. Prior experience in genetic or genomic data analysis.
