Position Overview

Anne West’s lab at Duke University (West Lab) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with experience in nuclear cell biology. This NIH-funded position focuses on studying the role of nuclear pore proteins in regulating chromatin architecture during neuronal differentiation.

Requirements:

• PhD in cellular biology, developmental biology, or a related field
• Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: stem cell biology, protein biochemistry, light microscopy, cell signaling
• Candidates with non-US degrees may need to provide proof of equivalency

Work Performed

• Conduct substantially full-time research or scholarship under supervision of a mentor or department
• May include teaching responsibilities
• Expected to publish research outcomes during the appointment period
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and other research records (property of Duke University)
• Adhere to University standards for use of isotopes, chemicals, infectious agents, animals, and human subjects
• Follow responsible conduct in research and good scholarly practices
• Engage in collegial conduct and collaborative work within the research group
