Description
A Postdoctoral Associate position is offered in the laboratory of Prof. Michael S. Landy at New York University. The position involves research in support of Prof. Landy's NIH award titled "Dynamics of Multisensory Cue Integration." The research involves models of sensory cue integration for multiple senses (primarily vision, audition and proprioception) for perceptual decision-making and the planning of movements such as reaching for a target (i.e., sensorimotor integration). There will be empirical behavioral work coupled with ideal-observer and other computation models of those behaviors.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500-$90,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Qualifications
Ability to do cutting-edge research on multisensory cue integration and sensor-motor behavior. This should include knowledge and facility with current models of cue integration (including optimal cue integration), confidence models, design of psychophysical sensorimotor experiments, analysis including model-fitting, model-recovery and parameter-recovery simulations and control of lab equipment (trackpads, VR/AR programming). Ability to prepare data presentation and write research up for publication.
