- A strong record of productivity in cardiovascular physiology (e.g., assessment of cardiac function using echocardiogram and/or catheterization in mice.
- Isometric tension measurement in mouse small vessels, or electrophysiological experiments using endothelial and smooth muscle cells isolated from mouse hearts and lungs) is required.
Preferred
- Theoretical and working knowledge in advanced cardiovascular physiology.
- Demonstrated ability to dissect small arteries [coronary and pulmonary artery] for isometric tension experiments.
- Evaluate cardiac and vascular function using the Millar system or echocardiogram in mice, and isolate heart and lung vascular endothelial and smooth muscle cells.
- Aseptic techniques for cell culture is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in Western Blot, immunoprecipitation, PCR, qPCR, and FACS.
