PostDoctoral Associate
Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate within the Epidemiology Cancer Health Disparity Division at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate will conduct and coordinate health care delivery research, including implementation science studies aimed at reducing and eliminating cervical cancer disparities in medically underserved and socially marginalized communities. The Postdoctoral Associate will also lead data collection, management, and analysis for ongoing research projects.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
- Manages databases, develops analytical plans, and carries out analysis for manuscripts, reports and presentations related to gynecologic cancer and health equity projects.
- Leads, drafts, and publishes papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Facilitates community and clinical partnerships with organizations, health care providers, and patients to support implementation research.
- Assists in the development of regulatory protocols, recruitment materials, intervention resources, and education and policy-relevant deliverables.
- Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, manages and supports implementation of cancer prevention and control studies among high-risk and underserved populations.
- Assists the Principal Investigator in the identification and development of grant proposals based on the HPV/cervical cancer control research conducted.
- Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Understands, demonstrates and models the Rutgers Cancer Institute core values.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers's compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Interest policy.
- Act as a role model for corporate integrity, customer service and improved quality.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences, Health Policy and Management, or related discipline, including but not limited to Health Services Research, Health Psychology, or Sociology.
Qualified candidates must be in the process of completing or have finished the training for Ph.D. and/or M.D. Candidates must provide proof all requirements have been fulfilled before their position start date.
