Postdoctoral Associate
Position Summary
Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in the Behavioral Research and Training Institute – Center for Integrated Care of Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, the Postdoctoral Fellow is responsible for research and clinical activities with the Behavioral Research and Training Institute.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Conceptualizes, designs and implements research and program evaluation projects in support of the lab's mission.
- Based on a thorough knowledge of the field and the research literature, identifies research projects that would contribute to increasing the body of knowledge related to integrated behavioral health, addiction, psychology.
- Translates research ideas into concrete, specific and implementable research projects that meet the standards of scientific inquiry and that comport with University requirements.
- Assists the AVP in the preparation of research proposals to obtain grant support from federal, state and local units of government, as well as foundations.
Minimum Education and Experience
PhD, MD or MD/PhD in clinical or counseling psychology.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent, prolonged sitting, moderate standing, moderate walking, bending, travel to various sites/locations. Extensive reading required. Extensive computer work required. Periodic speaking/lecturing for prolonged periods.
