Postdoctoral Fellow
Job Summary
A training position designed to learn through engagement in an advanced level of scientific technical and administrative work in support of research efforts in an assigned laboratory or clinical research setting. Participate in research data collection and documentation within relevant guidelines and protocols; develop and evaluate new research techniques and procedures; publish results in scientific journals.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Independent & Collaborative Research
Design, execute, and manage complex research projects under the general oversight of a Principal Investigator (PI) or faculty mentor.
Data Analysis & Publication
Analyze experimental data, draft manuscripts for peer-reviewed scientific journals, and present findings at academic conferences.
Grant Writing
Actively assist in preparing grant proposals to secure funding or apply for independent postdoctoral fellowships (e.g., NIH F32, NSF) to build a track record of funding success.
Mentorship & Lab Management
Supervise, train, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the lab. Manage day-to-day lab operations, maintain safety protocols, and ensure compliance with ethical guidelines.

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent from an accredited college or university
