Classification: Academic Level A
Salary package: $89,313 - $112,103 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full Time, Fixed term (up to 2 years)

The Position
The position is aligned to the research objectives of Australian Biodiversity Discovery Facility to use emerging technologies to enhance monitoring of Australia’s invertebrate biodiversity. The project will use these new technologies to answer questions related to invertebrate ecology and conservation.
The Person
The successful person will undertake independent research in the areas of entomology, ecology and conservation with a view to publishing original and innovative results in refereed journals, presenting research at seminars and conferences, and collaborating with other researchers, including students. The successful applicant will hold a PhD in a relevant field, have a strong publishing record for their career stage, have experience training and mentoring research students and have expertise in operating Diversity Scanner technology.

The Research School of Biology is a leading centre of plant science research in Australia. Researchers have a tradition of excellence in plant molecular biology, eco-physiology, photosynthetic biochemistry, plant energy biology, ecology, food security and agricultural biotechnology.
