We're excited to invite a motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our laboratory community. Our team explores the mechanisms underlying bladder cancer development and progression. We work with real patient samples, mouse models, and cellular systems to uncover the molecular, epigenetic, and immune pathways involved. If you're interested in chromatin biology, especially using innovative spatial and single-cell techniques, you'll find plenty of opportunities here. We use cutting-edge facilities and biospecimens to support our discoveries and foster a collaborative, inspiring environment.
Responsibilities:
- Independently design, execute, and analyze experiments.
- Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts, grants, and presentations.
- Collaborate effectively with other researchers within Northwestern Stay current with the latest advancements in the field through literature review and conference attendance.
- Routine computational analysis of RNA-Seq, single-cell analysis, CUT&TAG/Chip-Seq. Must be comfortable with R, data analysis and visualization. Mentor and train junior researchers (e.g., graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research technicians) in experimental techniques, data analysis, and scientific writing.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in life sciences with a strong track record of research accomplishments, evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Extensive experience in wet laboratory and cancer research Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication (written and oral), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in mentoring or training junior researchers is highly desirable.
- Must be computationally competent with bioinformatics skills in R, python with preference for single (cell ranger/loupe browser) and spatial analysis.
