Position Summary
A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Occupational Medicine in the Department of Medicine. A full-time postdoctoral fellow position is available to conduct research focused on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the development of lung diseases and lung cancer with inhaled exposures.
The Sears' federally funded laboratory focuses on the impact of DNA damage and repair on the development of lung cancers and in treatment response. Our overall goal is to determine the key mechanisms involved in early exposure-related lung cancer development which can be used to identify prognosis and/or targeted with therapeutics to prevent progression. We are seeking a highly motivated and curious post-doctoral candidate will be involved in both in vitro and in vivo research using animal models, primary, and immortalized cell culture models, molecular and cellular techniques, immunofluorescence, and histological analyses.

Basic Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ph. D. or terminal degree in related field. -Experience with basic molecular/cellular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA/Protein isolation and analysis, histology, immunofluorescence/ immunohistochemistry, microscopy and quantitative and qualitative image analyses.
