POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

Scope of Job

Trainee position to pursue research as a vital component of their educational mission and professional career development. Works under minimal supervision with some latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment in research and/or teaching. Performs research work as required within the lab and/or project assigned.

Description of Duties

• Developing, testing, and analyzing research projects based on application expertise and interest;
• Aiding in the development of a survey instrument, testing the instrument and disseminating the instrument;
• Writing narrative summaries of the research results, and related tasks under the supervision of the faculty member assigned;
• Conducting background research;
• Developing and implementing an evaluation plan and preparing progress reports as needed;
• Studying, testing, and maintaining accurate data identified as relevant and/or best practice systems from research results obtained through national studies;
• Designing and implementing training activities as required;
• Supports faculty supervisor in the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals;
• Publishing in peer-reviewed publications related to the focus of the research activities assigned;
• and performing other job-related duties as assigned.
