The Faculty of Medicine has established the Mildred Scheel Early Career Center (MSNZ), which is funded by a grant from the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe). The center is dedicated to excellent tumor research and comprises independent research groups led by young medical and life sciences researchers. The center interacts closely with many research groups in molecular biology and medicine as part of the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) Mainfranken, a joint institution of the University Hospital and the University of Würzburg focusing on cancer medicine and tumor research. Information about the participating departments, as well as the research groups and projects currently funded in the MSNZ, can be found at https://www.med.uni-wuerzburg.de/msnz/.
