Activities and context: The fellow will join the FGVanalytics team, a Science Center for Development (SCD) supported by FAPESP and FGV, in cooperation with the São Paulo State Department for Public Security. Activities will include research on data use, Big Data, artificial intelligence and decision-support systems in public security, public policy evaluation, scientific data management, publication of research articles, and dissemination of results to researchers, governments and civil society organizations.
Mandatory requirements: PhD completed less than seven years before the fellowship start date; availability for full-time dedication to the research project, subject to the exceptions allowed by FAPESP; and compliance with FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship rules regarding employment, other fellowships, salary or other remuneration during the fellowship period.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
