Postdoctoral Position in Biosensors and Lab-on-a-Chip Technologies

The Biosensors Lab at Alfaisal University is seeking to fill multiple postdoctoral positions in the following research areas: biosensing technologies; recognition receptors (peptides, phage, phage display, aptamers); and lab-on-a-chip systems for biomedical, environmental, food, and security applications.

We are particularly interested in candidates with extensive experience in biosensing technologies. Postdoctoral fellows will be expected to supervise graduate students and collaborate with other lab members to accomplish research objectives within their area of expertise.

Research Areas

We are looking for outstanding candidates in one or more of the following areas:

• CRISPR diagnostics
• Phage display technologies
• Phage-based technologies
• Immunosensors
• Aptamer-based biosensors
• Peptide-based biosensors
• Optical biosensors
• Electrochemical biosensors
• Paper-based biosensors
• Lab-on-a-chip technologies
• Organ-on-a-chip systems
• Sample processing technologies

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biosensors or a closely related field
• Degree from a Western university, or postdoctoral experience at a Western institution
