Location: Lebanese American University (LAU), Beirut Campus with commute to Byblos Campus
Duration: Initial 6 months (starting February, renewable upon securing new grant funding)
Position Overview: The Lebanese American University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our dynamic team in the Department of Biological Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects in genetics, cell and molecular biology and will have the opportunity to develop their skills in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory inventory and maintain an organized lab environment.
- Oversee lab management, including the ordering of supplies and equipment.
- Train and assist graduate and undergraduate students in various laboratory techniques.
- Write and develop experimental protocols.
- Execute experiments.
- Analyze data and interpret results using statistical software.
- Draft manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology or a related field.
- Proven experience in cell culture, qPCR, RNA work, immunofluorescence (IF), Western blotting, flow cytometry, and in vivo work.
- Proficiency in DNA techniques and molecular biology methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
